About Founder/Owner

Sonja F. Rockett, OTR/L, CHWC, LMT

Sonja F. Rockett, a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), recently graduated as valedictorian from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in June of 2017.  Ms. Rockett has worked as a Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) for 16 years and received her BS degree from SUNY University at Buffalo in June of 1999.  In May of 2016, She received a certification as a Health and Wellness Coach following 5 months of training.  Ms. Rockett's vision and passion comes from experiencing her own struggles with wellness and from witnessing other peoples' suffering from several diseases and injuries. These diseases and injuries are highly debilitating and tend to decrease peoples' quality of life.  These diseases have a grave impact on public health yet are preventable. It is for this reason that Ms. Rockett embraces the idea of holistic approaches to health and wellness and desires to facilitate improvement in the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of individuals through The Purple Orchid Massage & Wellness.
